A man is in critical condition in hospital after a car plunged into Lake Ontario on Toronto's east side.
Emergency services were dispatched to Ashbridge Bay Park Road just after 9:30pm on Sunday.
Firefighters rescued two people, one from inside the vehicle and the other from above, a spokesman said.
Both were taken to hospital, where one is in critical condition.
Four police officers were also taken to hospital for treatment for “exposure to the elements”, a police spokesman said.
It is not clear how the vehicle fell into the water. The police are investigating.
