Two-time world champion Gary Anderson crashed out of the World Darts Championship after a shock defeat to Jeffrey De Graaf at Alexandra Palace.
Anderson struggled through a one-sided tournament against his unseeded opponent, winning just one leg and converting just three of 20 attempts at doubles en route to a straight loss to De Graf.
De Graaf cruised through the first two sets without dropping a leg and broke Anderson again in the next, completing a famous win to set up a third round meeting with Paolo Nebrida after Christmas.
Anderson's forgotten birthday was the first time he lost his opening game in 16 World Championship games, on a night that also saw the likes of Ross Smith and Martin Schindler knocked out.
