So, what is in this beautiful boi? Well, I'm not going to go through all of them because we'd be here all day, but here are all the solutions that are specifically aimed at A-Life specifically – that's the system that rules behavior AI that is behind many special things Stalker game application.

  • We fixed the issue by spawning NPCs behind the player's back.
  • Players can now encounter roaming NPCs throughout the Zone more often.
  • Significantly increased the speed at which A-Life NPCs are visible to the player.
  • Fixed the aggressive optimization issue that prevented A-Life NPCs from being Offline (out of the player's field of vision). In Offline mode, A-Life will continue to progress towards their goals over time. Players may now have opportunities to encounter A-Life NPCs they have previously encountered by following in the same direction as the NPCs.
  • Better Navigation of A-Life NPCs in Offline using GameGraph (global AI navigation map): Fixed several issues where NPCs would not follow or find their way to their designated objectives. Fixed several issues with NPC stuck in Online-Offline transition state.
  • Promote enhanced A-Life NPCs to expand their territory and actively attack enemies and mutants.
  • Fixed issues that could result in less A life NPCs than happened.
  • Further development of contextual actions to ensure smooth transitions between Offline and Online states for NPCs involved in those actions.
  • The groups investigating the Zone are now more diverse in terms of groups and group sizes.
  • Fixed issue where while moving across the Zone, Human NPCs did not satisfy their communication and chat needs.

Beyond this, there are a bunch of changes to everything from main line missions and story progression, side missions and open world encounters, and cutscenes. GSC has also made “balance changes” that include “increased rewards for several missions”, and changed some stuff around gear, state, and how they are driven around the map .
