Rangers inflicted Celtic's first defeat of the season with a 3-0 victory as Philippe Clement's Old Firm hoodoo ended to pile the pressure on the struggling Rangers manager.
Hurting from dropped points at St Mirren and Motherwell, Clement's side were fired up to beat their rivals for the first time since May 2023 when Brendan Rodgers suffered his first defeat at Ibrox.
They were the better side from the kick-off and Ianis Hagi gave the fans a boost when he fired home the opener with just seven minutes on the clock.
Vaclav Cerny hit the woodwork either side of Kyogo's offside goal as Rangers continued to dominate. Robin Propper scored their second with Danilo coming off the bench to complete a comprehensive win with his first touch.
Celtic were far from the best but remain 11 points clear in the Scottish Premiership title race as Clement looks to have won over the fans again, for now.
Irritated circles went at Ibrox
Rangers were without goalkeeper Jack Butland and skipper James Tavernier, but started with determination and Nedim Bajrami had three shots blocked in quick succession as they looked for an early lead.
It took just seven minutes for Ibrox to burst into life when Hagi collected from the standing captain Raskin to send a brilliant strike into the corner of the net.
The guests were fired up.
Vaclav Cerny almost doubled their lead soon after, his shot deflecting off Liam Scales and clipping the top of the crossbar with Ridvan Yilmaz then forcing Kasper Schmeichel to save moments later .
Celtic struggled to string a pass together with Daizen Maeda's shot off target the best they had to offer in the first half hour.
Hagi had a chance to make it 2-0 when Reo Hatate passed the ball but this time he dragged the shot wide.
It was Cameron Carter-Vickers who then made a well-timed diving save to stop Mohamed Diomande putting Rangers ahead.
Jefte left Nicolas Kuhn with a cut nose as half-time approached when he took his place. After the resulting free-kick was cleared, Liam Kelly made a brilliant save on his Old Firm debut to stop Maeda from scoring from Paulo Bernardo's corner.
The captains went against the whistle with Raskin showing yellow while Callum McGregor, who had already been booked, got away with a further penalty.
Celtic looked to get back into the game and Kyogo sent a brilliant volley over Kelly and into the net but VAR confirmed it was offside.
Cerny rattled the woodwork again when his shot crashed off the post before Rodgers called the changes with Adam Idah, Alex Valle and Luke McCowan replacing Kyogo, Greg Taylor and Bernardo.
Rangers threatened again.
Schmeichel got down to push Cerny's shot wide, but seconds later they doubled their lead as Propper tapped the ball into the rebound after Raskin's header was blocked.
The visitors wanted more and Schmeichel parried Yilmaz's long-range strike behind as the Hoops looked in dire straits.
And they weren't done yet when Danilo came off the bench to sweep the third man with his first touch of the game.
The fans were in dreamland but still, objects were thrown from the stands onto the pitch late on and the police were involved in cleaning them up.
Clement got his players to celebrate with the fans as the Celtic players walked down the Ibrox tunnel in disbelief at their poor display.
