A man has been charged with second-degree murder 3 years after a fatal triple shooting in Etobicoke


Toronto police have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man with second-degree murder in connection with a triple shooting that left two people dead in Etobicoke three years ago.

The shooting happened on the evening of January 3, 2022 in the area of ​​Lake Shore Boulevard W and Thirtieth Street.

When police arrived, they found two men who had been shot and a woman nearby with injuries.

Two men — Chudier Rat, 20, and Minyali Voor, 24 — were pronounced dead at the hospital, while the woman's injuries were not life-threatening, police said at the time.

A 34-year-old man was arrested in Mississauga on Wednesday, police said in a new statement.

He is charged with second degree murder as well as two counts of weapons offenses.

He was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre.
