Their fan film, called Black Dog, was screened through a cool trailer late last year, and has now been released in full on YouTube. It is about an hour long, and was put together through Machinima using assets from Cyberpunk, augmented by the use of mods and custom cinematics used to set its original story expressed.
It's also important to note that the movie apparently uses some AI voices to give lines to the various characters from the base game that it introduces – like Silverhand, Judy, Viktor Vektor, you get the opinion Valerie Silverhand writes in a disclaimer at the start of the video – which also emphasizes that the project is not affiliated with or endorsed by CD Projekt itself – that “AI voice tools were used for content purposes fans only, and not used for profit or with intent to exploit voice actors.”
That might put you off the fan film, but at least they're ahead of it so people can make that call for themselves, because this kind of AI deployment is arguably it is more of a moral gray area than is used for simulation. VAs voices for commercial projects, which definitely a case with the potential to affect actors' livelihoods.
Anyway, to avoid spoilers in case you go ahead and watch, here's a bit of the setting for the movie's plot given early on: “A year has passed since V breached fortress Arasaka's physical data of Digital Souls called Mikoshi. rejecting the dichotomy offered by the rogue AI, Alt Cunningham, V and Johnny Silverhand leave Mikoshi together in hopes of finding another solution.” Things then pick up with V after learning of ” the secret Arasaka cryo vault” which is “rumored to store Saburo Arasaka's most private collection”.
As mentioned by the director of the related game Cyberpunk Sequel Paweł It seems that Sasko got a kick out of the movie, after fall “A very ambitious and complex project, very proud of you! Congratulations.” in response to Valerie Silverhand's post about it.
