Relax, Stardew Valley Switch players who have been stuck in unhappy marriages for months, it looks like your divorce might go through in time for the Switch 2 launch

Were you sick with your spouse in Stardew Valley a little while now? Have you tried to separate them, and found that you can't because the game keeps crashing? Well, if you're on a console, that shouldn't have been a problem since Christmas, and if you're on a Nintendo Switch, a solution is yet to come, and it looks like it could arise before the Switch 2.

Yep, that's the Switch 2 it will likely be released in the next couple of daysand so the watch is surely against your unholy marriage.

This issue with Stardew, called “divorce crash” because it, well, causes the game to crash every time you try to make peace out of your marriage, which started growing up late last year. Hear a bunch of threads with titles like “Can not divorce“, “Anyone having trouble divorcing their spouse?“, “Divorce + game hitting“, and just”Divorce“.

Fortunately, it has been fixed for Xbox and PlayStation players via a patch that SV developer Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone casually dropped by in the early hours of December 26th in the UK, apparently because he thought it would make a nice prezzie to move under the tree at his last minute. The Switch was not introduced however, with Barone promising that it would follow soon.

Well, if you've been waiting, good news. It is not forgotten. “The patch for Switch that fixes the divorce crash and the raccoon store (among other fixes) is still coming,” Barone's latest tweet read, “Will be released as soon as possible. “

The race, it seems, is on. What will happen first, your Switch Stardew divorce, or the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal? What is the biggest lifestyle change? What leaves most people you know crying with joy, frustration, sadness, or just because they've overcome all of the above? What will cost you more money in the long run?

It's okay, I'm sure you'll get along well in both cases. It's hard to adjust to seeing a new face that you've made a big financial commitment to every day, regardless of whether that face has drawbacks and a button that could activate a camera. But life goes on. I'm sorry, Harvey. Not you. It's a Switch 2.
