Durham Police say one person has died after a house fire in Oshawa.
Emergency services were called to the residence, in the area of Center and Gibb streets, around 8 p.m. Monday.
Firefighters found the man inside and he was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The police said that he died in the hospital on Tuesday morning. They did not provide further information about the man.
The Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating, but police say preliminary evidence suggests the fire is not suspicious.
