More clouds, warmer PM temps in the 40s

(PINPOINT HOURS) – The arctic chill remains in place tonight, dropping temps into the teens – even single digits – for most of the region.

Luckily, we don't have that much wind tonight. Still keep an eye out for slick spots that may not have dried if you're out driving and walking around.

Thursday will bring more clouds as a dry cold front approaches. Eventually, temperatures will climb out of the freezing zone and creep closer to 40 degrees in the afternoon. The evaluation trend will continue through the weekend and into next week as well. By Sunday, highs are back up to about 50 degrees.

We may be a bit cooler again on Monday with some rain moving in, but by the middle of next week, we could be showing the 60's on the temperature map!

Tonight: Usually clear and frigid. Low 16.

Thursday: More clouds. High 38.
