It has been more than ten years since the new era Final Destination to cinemas, but it looks like a date has been set for the upcoming sixth film in the franchise.
Remember when the Final Destination movies were a thing? Well, next year Warner Bros. we'll see if audiences still buy into the horribly violent trends that the movies usually feature. As reported by Differentthe film production company has set a release date for the sixth film in the series, titled Final Destination: Bloodlines, which is now expected to be released on May 16, 2025, approximately five months away. The David Robert Mitchell (It Follows)-directed Flowervale Street was originally slated to be released around that time, but apparently Warner Bros. took note of how good the timing is for genre franchises, noting the success of films like Quiet place Part 2, The Hangover, and The Fast and the Furious.

This latest entry in the popular horror series will be helmed by a pair of directors, Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, whose previous co-directing credits include… the 2019 live-action adaptation of Kim Possible . Lipovsky single-handedly directed the 2015 live-action adaptation of A dead revolutionand Stein has written for the Harley Quinn animated series, as well as Hazbin Hotel, so it's a mixed bag between the two of them.
So was Tony Todd expected to return as his iconic role in the series as William Bludworthapparently finally digging into his back story, but unfortunately the actor died last month, so it's unclear if he'll be doing a posthumous release – considering how close the film is to release, and that production started back in Marchit will be similar though. This sequel is supposed to focus on first responders, but again, details as a whole are still pretty slim. Since we are less than half a year since its release, we might expect a release date soon, so stay tuned.
