Fakhar Zaman considering international retirement? Batter angry at PCB for mistreatment

Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman is reportedly disappointed after being left out of the team's squads for the South Africa tour. Zaman is believed to be considering his international future now as he is unhappy with the way he has been treated by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Recently, the PCB announced the Pakistan squads for the tour of South Africa. Although Zaman was not a part of Pakistan's Test team, he used to be an integral part of the team's ODI and T20I squads in the top order.

He used to open the batting in ODIs and batted in the middle order in T20I format. However, he was not named in any of the teams which disappointed the opener. Instead Pakistan have selected young opener Saim Ayub as the attacking option for both white ball formats.

Fakhar Zaman looks back through the Champions Trophy T20

The tournament will feature some of Pakistan's top players, both internationally and domestically. Zaman has a great chance to prove his worth and bid to be back in the team.

He looks back and can come to the attention of the national selectors with his performances. The board will have an eye on his appearance and form and the competition will be important to him in the future.

With the Champions Trophy to be played in a few months, Fakhar has little time to make a comeback. He needs to find form and prove his fitness soon to be considered for Pakistan's Champions Trophy squad.

Fakhar Zaman dropped out of Australia tour

Fakhar Zaman was dropped from Pakistan's white ball earlier teams for the Australian tour as well. The left-arm opener had made inappropriate comments in support of the team's star Babar Azam which did not go down well with the PCB.

As a result, the board decided to drop him from the team. Not only the disciplinary issues, the PCB also cited Fakhar Zaman's serious fitness concerns as one of the reasons behind his omission.

Without, Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq shine as openers in Australia. Both the batsmen gave some brilliant performances to take Pakistan to a historic 2-1 lead series win in ODIs.
