Fortniteand latest game mode, Ballistic, plays very similar Adding value or Anti-Strike. The mode, currently called “Early Access,” is rough around the edges and feels more like a demo than a full game. But, Ballistic it's also proof that Epic can build first-person shooters that work there Fortnite, and that is exciting.
Launched on December 11 on all platforms, Ballistic is a 5v5 round-based first-person shooter in which one team defends two bomb sites while the other team of five attacks and tries to plant an explosive device. There are no respawns until the next round and between rounds, you buy guns and equipment with money you earn from kills and wins.

Before I played a few games, I was curious how well FPS gameplay would work there Fortnite. After a few games of BallisticI came away with a good impression. Epic has done the work to make animations and movement feel and look good in first person view. Blasting, climbing, aiming shots, reloading, and all that feels snappy and responsive, as you'd expect from a well-made first-person shooter.
I have a few quibbles with the controls. I really want a button that allows me to switch between my rifle and pistol. I'd love to be able to map my grenade and tools to specific buttons, too, instead of using them Fortnitethe basic inventory and hotbar system. But these are minor issues that may be fixed in future updates. For now, what is here is a solid FPS that just happens to live there Fortnite and using all the character skins and weapons you already have.

As for the method itself, Ballistic it's fun and tight, like Anti-Strike or Adding value. However, I experienced some issues with menus not loading properly, random sound effects happening for no reason, long waits between games, and after-game impact screens. While I had a good time taking it out Fortnite kiddies who have never played a game Anti-StrikeI understand why Epic called this an “Early Access” test. It is pleasant, but far from ready or stable.
However, even in this early access form, Epic's latest mode is a promising first step towards the developer adding more modes and FPS games. Fortnite.
