Borderlands 4 gets a new trailer with some gameplay, and we see why Randy Pitchford was “FREAKING OUT, yo”


New trailer for Limits 4 just dropped at Game Awards 2024just as Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said he would in a handful of tweets.

Yes, after that the first teaser trailer from this year's Gamescom ONL telling us that this was a thing, our second look was blown away by its a bunch of Pitchford tweets that may or may not be a bit premature. Classical.

As Pitchford suggested, the trailer revealed some gameplay from the game that will try to follow this summer A very bad Borderlands movieplus some beautiful graphics, a scary woman mounted on the back of spider-like legs, and a whole legion of horrible bastards that look like they'll be a lot of fun to shoot.

Outside of that, it was pretty normal Borders fare: mutants, people going up menacingly in a low environment, mutants, guns, and noise. If you could just ignore the Randy Pitchford stuff, it was very exciting.

In the aforementioned tweets, Pitchford wrote: “Cooking up a new Borderlands 4 trailer and it's bad. The latest offering is knocking me out. I'm not supposed to talk about it yet, but idgaf. I'm breaking a -out, yes. “He said later: “So… my phone is blowing up. I guess I wasn't supposed to tell you that we have a trailer coming in a week, call 911.”

Was this Game Awards cameo for the game worthy of all those caps typing, hype, and also the bit of back and forth with random Twitter about an edge that came in replies to the first tweet (no pun intended)?
