It's by no means Elden Ring 2, but Elden Ring Nightreign sure looks like everything we FromSoft-heads could want

At The Game Awards 2024, Geoff Keighley announced that we're getting (not quite) a sequel to Elden Circle – and it comes in the form of a co-op-focused title that allows multiplayer to take on the original game's bosses in cooperative environments.

As the main title, Elden ring king of the night will be published by Bandai Namco. It will be launched in 2025, and will come to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

If you look carefully, you can see several boss designs from the main Elden Ring game in the trailer, as well as some places that – at least! – inspired by fields in the title 2023. Anyone want to say the words 'asset flip'? Go, I beg you.

Just a few weeks ago, we heard from Soft boss Hidetaki Miyazaki about: “I think we can show you a new FromSoftware”. Looks like the famous sadist wasn't just kidding us, ey?

It's clear the developer hasn't revealed anything else it's currently working on since the Elden Ring's only Shadow of the Erdtree DLC part was released earlier this year, but the boss of the studio Hidetaka Miyazaki the Grand Prize recently at the 2024 PlayStation Partner Awards Japan Asia , where he gave a couple of thoughts about the future of the studio. You can read these at the link above.

This confirms what he said about Elden Ring 2, at least.

When asked about the Elden Ring IP, Miyazaki said: “We're not really considering developments like Elden Ring 2. That's obviously going to be disappointing for anyone hoping for a sequel to one of the most prestigious games around, but Miyazaki noted that it is not possible to further develop the IP “in some form in the future”.

Surprise us with the color, then.

A mobile version of Elden Ring, from Tencent, is also reportedly in the works. But who knows if that will ever see the light of dayeven if it is true.
