ELMIRA, NY (WETM) – The closing bell rang, and the last name was signed into the Arctic League's 'Big Book' on Friday, capping off another successful year in entertaining the miles in Chemung County.
Officers from the Elmira Police Department were dressed in full uniform on Friday, December 20, to deliver the final donation to the Arctic League by representing the Police Benevolent Association.
Members of the PBA came together to give and present a $2,500 donation to the Arctic League, helping the Arctic League surpass its $175,000 goal. The donation from the EPD PBA is equal to the largest donation ever received from the PBA and it is a tradition for the PBA to be the last signature in the book every year.
