Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, feels that his ability to rotate the team has a positive effect on the health of his players.
Rodgers has a fully fit squad for Saturday's visit of Hibernian after making six changes for last weekend's 5-0 win over Ross County and reversing four of those for the midweek win over Aberdeen.
A number of substitutes made a big impact as Celtic won in the 78th minute thanks to Reo Hatate's goal.
Rodgers said: “We're in a really good place, and I think that's also part of the rotation.
“Sometimes if you don't have the depth of the squad and the strength in your squad, you might have to play players for 90 minutes more three times a week, playing them all the time, and that's when you have a greater risk. of injury.
“What we can do is manage the minutes of the players and where there is maybe a little bit of a niggle, we can then take someone out. Or if someone has played a lot more minutes, we have the ability to take that. out them.
“So I really enjoyed that aspect of it, picking the teams to send out and giving some of them that chance to have a bit of breathing space. It can also depend on the game you are playing and what you want. That will decide who plays as well.”
With a number of players in form, Rodgers was able to plan ahead with his team selections and will have next Tuesday's Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb in mind when choosing who to start against Hibs.
“Listen, I'm not going to sit here and say you don't think ahead,” he said. “Of course you do.
“That's the nature of my job. I have to plan ahead, of course. But you always have to look to the next game as your priority.
“You have to understand who you are thinking about for the Zagreb game clearly, like I was when we had Ross County before we had Aberdeen. So you have to plan ahead. But that's the interesting part of the job.
“It's really good that I have a good group of players who are hungry, who are ambitious and they all want to play, which is good. If they don't, they will respect whoever plays. “They are all in to get the result.”
