Nintendo finally revealed the Switch 2 yesterday, giving us bits of information and plenty of reason to speculate, but the only game we saw was the next Mario Kart. Fans are already calling the kart racer Mario card 9 although we don't have an official title yet. Although we have only seen a few seconds of the game, fans have combing through every frame and considering things like the ability to support up to 24 players, or perhaps a search mode. But one thing people are hyperfixating on is the updated character designs. Donkey Kong, in particular, is one of the biggest events, radically changing how the gorilla has been viewed for decades.
Donkey Kong has had a few redesigns since its debut in the 1981 original Donkey Kong arcade game, with the character carrying the Donkey Kong moniker getting the design most people are familiar with today – the one with the muscular build and red tie – in the 1994s Donkey Kong Country. (Well, the connection first appeared a few months earlier, in a 1994 Game Boy special Donkey Kong '94but Donkey Kong Country he liked his new look. Oh, and this character is actually the grandson of the original Donkey Kong, now known as Cranky Kong in the most recent part Donkey Kong and Mario games. Got all that?) Donkey Kong has looked a lot like it since Rare released Donkey Kong Country in 1994, but it seems Mario card 9 it could be a turning point for the character, as it now resembles his own The new movie Super Mario Bros replay, as well as listening to 2D illustrations by Nintendo artist Shigehisa Nakaue and Original design by Shigeru Miyamoto.
I hope that people will grow up to the new look when the new one Mario Kart launching. Currently this is the only game we know of that is coming to Switch 2, and considering Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Game the Switch's best selling gameit makes sense that Nintendo would lead with a heavy hitter. We will know more about it and the new console when Nintendo holds a dedicated schedule Show only on April 2nd.
