When Oscar Valdez and Emanuel Navarrete walk through the ropes they both deliver the same thing – all action every time they box.
Now they have a score to settle when they resize, stay on Sky Sports Main Event or Sky Sports+ from 1.30am on Sunday morning.
“Playing has that personal pride and I know that, and I think that adds a little more interest to the fight,” Navarrete said. Sky Sports.
“Pride carries a lot of weight, especially in a Mexico vs. Mexico battle. It would be more important to lose against another Mexican than against someone else.
“Because it's the second time we're fighting each other we know each other more so I think that will lead to more exchanges.”

Navarrete defeated Valdez by unanimous decision when they fought in 2023.
But now he says: “I want to eliminate him … because I want the victory to be clear to show that I can defeat someone like Oscar Valdez.
“I'm going to look for the knockdown. He will know, however, how to neutralize my attacks because he knows how hard I hit and how I go to attack.”
Valdez recorded a crucial comeback victory against Liam Wilson and now has this opportunity to become world champion again against WBO super featherweight title holder Navarrete.

“We've been there with him, we know what he's got, he's a tough fighter,” Valdez said. Sky Sports. “But nothing in life is impossible, especially in boxing, especially when you are a fighter like myself, who has always dedicated his body and mind to everything inside that gym.
“We always got a shot and I don't want to regret not trying. Not trying to get that gold, to get that dream that I always wanted get.”
The first time with Navarrete was a brutal battle. Valdez expects the same thing again.

Emanuel Navarrete retained his WBO world featherweight title after the judges announced a majority draw against Robson Conceicao.
“You're going up against another hero,” Valdez said. “We are going to fight like we hate each other.
“We're going to duke it out to see who has the biggest heart. I really believe this fight (win) is – who wants it the most, who loves this sport the most.
