FPL has confirmed that a new chip will be available to players in 2025 – and rest assured there's some help on the way if you just wanted to ditch the app for good.
There are currently three “chips” available to anyone who plays the game, which include a free hit of unlimited moves that reset after a week, a wild card to completely upgrade your team for the future and increase the mountain that allows the points from players who are not. in the starting 11 to count towards the weekly total.

It was confirmed before the start of the 2024/25 season that a “mystery chip” would be introduced midway through the season and details of this addition have now been confirmed .
Players can now get an assistant manager, which allows them to choose one of the 20 Premier League managers to help them earn points.
A statement released by Fantasy Premier League confirmed full details of the new aspect of the game, which read:
“The chip will be available from Gameweek 24 in January and can be played at any time thereafter in 2024/25.
“When you activate the chip and select your Assistant Manager, you will receive points for their club's results for three Gameweeks in a row.
“Once the chip is activated, your Assistant Manager selection will not cost a “free move”.
“Remember, you can only play one chip in Gameweek. So if you activate the Assistant Manager chip in Gameweek 24, you won't be able to use another chip until Gameweek 27.
“If a manager leaves their club, Fantasy managers who own or bring in that Assistant Manager will still be scored based on the original club's performance.
