Police say they are looking for a Florida man who tried to break into a Toronto woman's building this month after years of harassing her with unwanted messages.
Toronto police allege a 39-year-old man living in Florida has been texting an unidentified woman since 2021, trying to have a relationship with her, despite being told to stop.
The woman reported the repeated unwanted messages in August, police said, the same month the man entered Canada from the United States.
In December, the man allegedly texted the woman that he was at an apartment block in the area of Dundas Street W and Bloor Street W. This month, the man allegedly tried to break into the building where the woman lived.
Police are investigating criminal harassment and are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect.
The police said that the person has thin hair and black hair. They believe the suspect is still in the Toronto area.
