Former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi injured after collapsing at event in Luxembourg

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been hospitalized after “sustaining an injury” during an official engagement in Luxembourg, according to a spokeswoman.

Pelosi, 84, was in Europe with a bipartisan delegation to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. The former boss' downfall comes two years after her husband Paul attacked him with a hammer at their home in San Francisco. The man, who was sentenced in October to 30 years in federal prison, broke into their home looking for Pelosi.

McConnell collapsed earlier this week

Pelosi, first elected in 1987 and a two-time speaker, she resigned from her leadership position two years ago after the Republicans won the House, but remained in Congress and was re-elected to represent his San Francisco district in November.
