Fox Business reporter Charles Gasparino has increase his conflict with the XRP community.
Gasparino, one of the most prominent financial commentators, recently said that the “XRP army” is not raising supporters of the fourth largest digital currency by market cap.
According to the reporter, the community is mostly made up of those who “bought the coin and made it rich”.
Earlier this week, Gasparino also criticized the ruling issued by US District Judge Analisa Torres in the Ripple case, describing it as “stupid”.
He has also suggested that the SEC may not toss Ripple's lawsuit despite Gary Gensler's departure.
In his recently written New York Post article, Gasparino, citing sources familiar with the matter, claims that the digital currency industry may not get a free pass with libertarian Paul Atniks, who was named to replace Gensler as the new head of the SEC. In fact, the report says that the SEC may not abandon its long-running case against Ripple.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, the XRP token had a huge rally. But, according to to Gasparino, only people got rich.
As reported by U.Today, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen's net worth increased by more than $6 billion due to XRP's price rally.
The XRP token has already given away a large portion of its gains.
