Hibs moved off the bottom of the Scottish Premier League with a 3-1 win over Ross County and rivals Hearts replaced them in last place.
It wasn't good at Easter Road, with Hibs deserved to go ahead at half-time after a dismal first-half display despite Dwight Gayle grabbing a chance in stoppage time following Elijah Campbell's opener for Ross County.
But they improved after the break with Elie Youan and Josh Campbell scoring to secure just their third league win of the season and ease the pressure on manager David Gray as they climb up to eighth.
How Hibs came from behind to win
County started brightly and Noah Chilvers spurned a golden chance to open the scoring within a minute when he raced clear on goal but goalkeeper Jordan Smith made a fine save.
But from the resulting corner, County took the lead courtesy of Campbell's first goal for the club.
Scott Allardice's first header bounced off the post and Campbell curled a header into the net from a tight angle.
Hibs missed a great chance on 15 minutes when Junior Hoilett failed to connect properly with Nicky Cadden's cross from just six yards.
The home faithful understandably let their anger out in a neutral first half where Hibs only tested Jack Hamilton in the County goal until they equalized on the stroke of half-time.
Nectar Triantis launched a counter-attack and released Hoilett with a clever pass down the right and the former winger's quick cross was glanced past Hamilton by Gayle.
Despite the goal, Hibs were still frustrated at the break and continued to harass the home supporters at the start of the second half with Youan and Joe Newell wasting good scoring opportunities.
The visitors struggled to break down County's solid defense but were awarded a penalty after 68 minutes following a moment of madness from George Harman.
The Staggies defender clearly wrestled Gayle to the ground from a promising long ball but Hamilton saved his team-mate by saving Cadden's poor penalty with his feet.
Hibs hit back just five minutes later when referee Lloyd Wilson awarded them another penalty after Ryan Leak was adjudged to have pulled back Campbell.
Youan replaced Cadden on penalties and made no mistake in smashing the ball home through the post to give Hibs the lead.
County rallied late in search of an equalizer but Hibs defended well and hit on the counter to add a third as the visitors pushed their men forward.
Youan capitalized on the opportunity and slotted the ball across goal for Campbell to fire home to seal the win.
