Maharashtra beat Meghalaya in dominant fashion by 9 wickets on Thursday. After the match, Himan ran to the dressing room to get a picture with Ruturaj Gaikwad.

It was captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad the Indian team who won the Gold Medal at the Asian Games in October 2023. Before that, he was appointed as the captain of the Chennai super kings in the following IPL 2023 MS Dhoni going out of office. He led the team to the final where they lost in the end Gujarat Titans. Chasing the target, it was Siddesh Veer again who came out as the villain of Meghalaya. Opening the batting, Veer scored 57 not out from 66 balls as Maharashtra comfortably chased down the total in 19.2 overs. The win took Maharashtra to the top of the points table in Group B.
