There is a lot to love Disco Elysium: the writing, the art style, the philosophy, the sharp narration, the little hole in the middle of space and time, lieutenant Kim Kitsuragi… the list goes on.
But anyone who has spent even a few hours in the wretched, wonderful world of Disco Elysium will know that the OST is truly something special. Created by, performed, and arranged by Brighton-based British sextet, Sea Power (who you might know by their former record label, British Sea Power), the OST the perfect lesson in boredom, self-reflection, sonic swaddling.

If you, like me, have always wanted to hear some of this music live – taken from the poor feet of Revachol and the failed revolution – I have good news. Sea Power has announced a 2025 UK soundtrack tourand will focus on band film and video game score work. It takes place in April next year.
I have written at length about the OST for other publications. It does a great job as a video game soundtrack, both enhancing the impact of everything else in the project, while standing alone and being an amazing piece of musical talent in its own right. Because Sea Power removed themselves from their normal songwriting process to 'live in someone else's head' to make their music, you can see why it was so successful. The technique in music composition helps, it would seem.
“We are delighted to announce the Soundtracks Tour for April 2025,” the band said in a statement. “These UK dates will feature an atmospheric, emotional selection of Sea Power's epic music – tracks adapted for BAFTA-winning soundtrack for the computer game Disco Elysium, as well as remixed tracks for the acclaimed Man Of Aran and From The Sea soundtracks.”
