The Israeli military said on Wednesday that it had killed two people in the northern Gaza Strip who were involved in the Hamas massacre in Israel more than 14 months ago.
One of them led an attack on an Israeli military post near the border with the Gaza Strip, in which 14 Israeli soldiers were killed, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted on X.
He said the man also attacked Israeli soldiers in the Gaza Strip during the subsequent war.
The Israeli Air Force killed him in a former school building in Gaza City, the IDF said.
In a separate strike on Jabalia, the military also killed the commander of a Hamas paragliding unit, who led the militia's advance into Israeli territory on October 7 from the air – when some fighters entered Israel with paraglider
The IDF did not say when the two men were killed.
Israel's attacks on Hamas are currently targeting the northern Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian reports, Israeli attacks often cause many civilian casualties. The Israeli military has repeatedly emphasized that they are taking steps to reduce the risk to civilians.
