Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has denied reports that Hamas has put forward a list of hostages for release in Sunday's cease-fire agreement.
Reuters reported earlier on Sunday that Hamas had agreed to a list of 34 hostages it might be willing to release in exchange for a ceasefire agreement. Hamas officials said the deal was contingent on Israel reaching an agreement to withdraw from Gaza and implementing a permanent cease-fire.
“Despite what has been claimed, Hamas has not yet forwarded a list of names of hostages,” Netanyahu's office said in a statement.
The statement comes days later Netanyahu was released from the hospital Thursday following his prostate surgery.

His office said Netanyahu, 75, was in good condition and fully conscious after he expired prostate surgery.
The Israeli leader has undergone several health procedures over the past two years. In March, Netanyahu he underwent hernia surgery under full anesthesia, and Deputy Prime Minister Yariv Levin resigned during the process.
Months before the October 7 attacks, Netanyahu he suffered dehydration and was admitted to a hospital in July 2023. The Israeli leader said he was dehydrated after visiting the Sea of Galilee without water or sun protection during the heat.
A week after he was admitted for dehydration, Netanyahu's doctors installed a pacemaker to manage his heart rate and rhythm.
Netanyahu's latest work came as the 75-year-old politician continues to testify in a corruption case against him in Israel. He took the stand earlier in December and is expected to continue testifying in the new year.
Netanyahu is also leading the IDF on many fronts the Middle Eastcontinues to target Iranian terrorists and their proxies.
