Competition structure, schedule and venue
The Lanka T10 Super League 2024 opens at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, a venue known for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent cricketing facilities. The tournament is scheduled to run from 11 December to 19 December 2024, bringing together six teams that include some of Sri Lanka's most competitive cricket franchises.
These teams – Colombo Jaguars, Galle Marvels, Hambantota Bangla Tigers, Jaffna Titans, Kandy Bolts and King Eliya Nuwara – engages in a round robin format, which ensures that each team gets enough opportunity to prove their ability on the field. Over the course of the league, each team will play seven league games, facing three opponents once and two other teams twice, setting the stage for an extremely competitive race to the top of the table.
Playoff format and the path to the final
As the league progresses, the top four teams after the league stage will advance to the playoffs. The first stage of the playoffs is the Qualifier 1, where the top two teams will fight for direct access to the final match. The third and fourth teams end up in the Eliminator, with the winner moving on to face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2. This format ensures great pressure at every game, with teams fighting for strategic advantages to reach the final. parade The tournament, the grand final, is scheduled to take place on December 19, where the top two teams will compete for the title and the honor of being the first Lanka T10 Super League champions. .

For this first edition, the teams are divided into two groups, ensuring a fair but competitive structure. Group A will feature Jaffna Titans, Hambantota Bangla Tigers, and Nuwara Eliya Kings, while Group B will include Colombo Jaguars, Kandy Bolts, and Galle Marvels.
Not only does this division add to the excitement of the group stage matches but it also sets the stage for intense rivalries and exciting events. The tournament will begin with an exciting opening match between Jaffna Titans and Hambantota Bangla Tigers on December 11, a match that promises to capture the attention of cricket enthusiasts and set the tone for the rest of the tournament.
