There are only two episodes left in the Marvel animated anthology series So what…?, and one of the most disgruntled employees of the multiverse is finally getting criticized by the upper management. In the third to last episode of the series, Uatu, better known The Watcherthree other Watchers visited him – The Eminence, The Incarnate, and The Executioner – to answer for his many words.

In the last section of So what…? Uatu guides us through an alternate reality where Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) are cowboys who chase The Hood (Meng'er Zhang) in the Wild West to find his sister. On the way, they run into Kwai Jun-Fan (Allen Deng). While trying to escape from being caught on top of a moving train, Jun-Fan is moments away from being thrown off the train until Uatu steps in by ' knocked the bad guys to the ground after revealing that the young boy will meet a tragic end in other timelines. This is typical superhero altruism until you understand the one rule that makes being a vigilante.

As a Watcher, Uatu swore an oath to watch only the stories of the multiverse but not to interfere. Unfortunately for Uatu, he worries a little too much. The first season finale was titled “What if the Watcher breaks his oath?” and saw him gather together a team of heroes known as the Guardians of the Multiverse to take out Ultron. The reason Uatu decided to prevent it is because Ultron had gained multi-level consciousness in the previous episode, breaking through the barrier that separates Uatu from the multiverse. and proceeds to carry his ass.

Only in this season did he break an oath to save Jun-Fan, and in the previous episode did he wish Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) not surrendering to the real fate that he has seen her suffer again and again when he was fighting with Mysterio (Alejandro Saab). Although it didn't materially hinder him, even speaking encouraging words was enough for the other three Watchers to tire of Uatu's frequent interruptions. In the final episode, they stop playing games, and The Eminence pins Uatu against his dimensional barrier after sternly telling him, “We can let your barrier to go unanswered.”

It's always fun when we see the full extent of the powers of multiple deities. Unfortunately, with only a few episodes left in total So what…? series, we can only hope we get two episodes full of multi-genre mayhem.
