Constitution Hill is doing well in his comeback bid and is most likely to return to action in the Ladbrokes Christmas Handicap on Boxing Day.
Stable star Nicky Henderson has been through the mill with various ailments since winning the race last season, missing the Cheltenham Festival with an illness and then suffering from colic.
His first start this year was further delayed after he was found to be mad ahead of the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle, but the injury was innocent enough and Henderson remains optimistic. that he would make Kempton Park.
Those hopes seem to have every chance of coming true, and the trainer is not ruling out turning Sir Gino to fences at the same meeting after the four-year-old took the Fifth Fight to land without his stable.
“Everything is going well,” said Henderson of the Hill Foundation.
“I can tell you how many days there are to go (until Christmas) and I think we have every chance of being there. I've never seen him look better – he looks fantastic.
“He's got a couple of jobs to do, I think we'll get there.
“There's still a chance to turn Sir Gino up over fences at Kempton. He's got to go somewhere. It's all up in the air, so we'll see how we go.
“I wouldn't say we wouldn't (run both in the Christmas hurdle), it's possible we will.
“I'm still fascinated by fencing with Sir Gino, because he's a very good jumper. We haven't been learning about fencing since the fifth fight, we think about it.”
