This defeat is Tottenham's ninth in the Premier League since the start of the current season, and only Southampton (14) and Wolverhampton (11) have suffered more defeats than Spurs in the Premier League this season.
For the first time since 2003, Tottenham Hotspur lost on Boxing Day.
