Remember when the voice behind Geralt said that the Witcher title is not the main character of the next game? Ignore it, because it seems that the actor is “beaten” by CD Projekt Red to say

Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle previously said that we would not be playing as the lover A witch in the next game, but it turns out he might be wrong.

Earlier this year, Doug Cockle appeared in a YouTube video where he answered a few questions about his career, and of course the topic of the next Witcher game up. At the time the voice actor said that although the character was ready to appear in the game, he would not be a player character this timewhich makes sense considering that the the beginning of a new saga. Except, well, maybe Cockle didn't have all the truth as it turned out. Featured in a video from Geektown (thanks, Polygon), Cockle talked about his claim and walked it back after a call from developer CD Projekt Red.

“I went online and said something about this and then I got a hold of CD Projekt,” the voice actor said in the interview about Geralt not being playable. “I don't know how true that is.” he is. I went out of my mind. I thought I saw someone from CD Projekt saying that Geralt will be in the Witcher 4 but he won't be the main character. And I don't really know if that's true now because they came back and said, 'We didn't put anything out there, don't say anything.' So Witcher 4 is a complete mystery to me I don't know.”

Cockle also made sure to make it clear that “the truth is I can't answer the question because I've signed an NDA. So even if I knew, I'd have to lie to you. ” These recent comments pretty much put us back to square one when it comes to what we know about the next Witcher game, but I'm sure we'll find out in due time.
