No release date in sight, Sony finally determining who is in charge Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Versebut don't worry, they didn't just register.
Remember when Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was supposed to come out in March of this year? Ha! That was certainly an optimistic promise from Sony. Now there is a report from Date over the weekend saying that the triplets won't even come out anytime in 2025, meaning there will be a delay of at least two years, give or take. Last year's writers and actors' strikes will obviously be affected, and members of The Animation Guild are currently preparing to vote on a new contract with the major studiosso there is a lot that could have gotten in the way.

But now, again reported by Dateand later officially confirmed on the SpiderVerse Twitter account, the directors of the third film were confirmed as Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, making it seem that production is in trouble.

That's not true though – a Spider-Verse rep Christopher Miller took to his personal Twitter account to clear the air a bit on the news, as many fans assumed this meant things were just getting started, or that Persichetti and Thompson were replacing a set of directors another. “For anyone who's confused: Bob and Justin aren't the *new* leaders, they've been BTSV's leaders all along – and doing a great job. Persichetti and Thompson offered their own commentary on the news, saying, “We've been incredibly honored to be a part of Miles' journey from the very beginning, and to direct the conclusion of his story on very exciting. moment of this project has been really exciting.
Perischetti was one of the directors on the first film, Into the Spider-Verse, and Thompson was a production designer on the first film as well. There's still no release date for the final entry, so for now you'll just have to watch the first two to keep yourself busy.
