The temperature is expected to drop on Thursday. As a result, the City of Toronto is opening four warming centers for vulnerable people.
Walk-ins are welcome at all sites
Four warming centers are set to open at 5 p.m. Thursday as Toronto plunges into a deep freeze for the next several days.
City-run centers open when temperatures drop below -5 C.
There is an additional “growth site” for when temperatures reach -15 C, but the city has not announced plans to open it at this time.

The city said walk-ins are welcome at the warming centers and if one is full, it will arrange transportation to the other.
