Well we did it, 100k Bitcoin is here. I'm sure a lot of you are pretty happy with where your net worth is right now, and all of you in that situation need to exercise a lot of self-control to hold on to the you have coins to get. to that position in the first place.
All of you are here because you got lucky first, you discovered Bitcoin at the right time, someone you trust introduced you to it, the right confluence of events came together at the right time to make you take it seriously. That's not why you stayed, why you kept through it all. That took your own effort and choice. But luck is the reason you ended up here in the first place.
I think it's important to keep that in mind. It's a combination of luck and your own effort that got you this far, not just you and your brilliance or iron will. It is the confluence of both.
This is a real cause of no return, and a big shift in what is going to happen in the future. Problems are going to get harder, they're not going away just because we're all a lot richer now. With more money comes more problems, more challenges. And more money is going to bring in even more people, and all of them must be sure that these problems exist. We are sure that the solutions to them are the things we need to act on.
Fix the money, fix the world. There is a kernel of truth to that saying, but the reality is that the money is not fixed yet. A limited supply cap isn't the only problem with money. There is the potential for wealth to be seized, searched, controlled. These problems are not fixed simply because Bitcoin exists with its finite supply.
To solve these problems, Bitcoin needs to scale. We need the network to be accessible to enough people to prevent coins from accumulating in a handful of large holders that can be seized by regulation. Without that, your money will be seized. It will be visible. None of these problems will be solved.
So don't let this price tag distract you from that. Check your ego, and keep a realistic attitude. Things aren't fixed yet just because of a number on a screen, not even close. There is much more to be done before these basic problems with money are a thing of the past.
