A very quiet scream and a slight thud in the middle of the window The Hunter's Collar This is one of the weirdest movie moments I've seen in 2024, and more people need to see it.

The Hunter's Collar the latest made by Sony Spider-Man spinoff to hit theaters. It is also one of the the biggest box office bombs of 2024. That's impressive in a year with movies like the terrible Borders to change and the Crow everyone forgot again. But since there are very few people at really seen the requirements, one of the strangest 20 seconds of cinema in 2024 has flown mostly under the radar. I'm here hoping to change that and bring this amazing vision to more people.

First, here is the very short scene in question. Some context: The man with the backpack is (or will be) a Rhino, and is horrified after learning bad news from an old man.

If you're like me, you probably rewatched that moment at least a few times before jumping down here to read this quote. Seriously? What's up? I am based on this clip. While I was popping it in here and writing this paragraph, I ended up re-watching it like five more times.

Everything about it is absolutely awesome. The bland set, the smooth line delivery, the backpack that is way too small for that person, and of course the piercing but mostly silent scream and the awkward silence that follows.

So what really happened here? Maybe this is just how the actor wanted the character to scream at that moment? The director was probably like, “Do a weird silent scream, okay!”

My personal theory, and it seems to be a popular one online, is that maybe not many people were looking closely at this blocky combo that was dumped in December with very little marketing. Perhaps the actor on the set was told to pretend to scream, squeaking a little as he did so, with the intention of doing ADR in shouting later. That helps protect his voice over a busy day. But then someone forgot to uh… add the scream in post-production.

Whatever the reasoning or thinking behind it, the result is the strangest movie moment of 2024, one that was sadly buried in The Hunter's Collara movie that was so rude and bad that no one was interested in seeing it.
