Tyson Fury has threatened to go heavy on Friday's pressure as he looks to deliver a devastating performance in his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
After defeating Fury in May on a split decision to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Usyk brings back the Briton, the fight that takes place This Saturday on the Riyadh season bill live on. Sky Sports box office.
This fight will have Usyk's WBO, WBA and WBC championships on the line and Fury has vowed to get revenge.
He says he has put on weight for “more power in the punches”.
“When a 20th man hits you on the jaw, compared to a 17th man, it's a little bit different,” Fury said. Sky Sports.
But Usyk is still undeniably cool. “I know things will be different this time. For me, I'm training like I'm getting ready to go up against a walking fortress,” Usyk said. Sky Sports.
“I'm working hard, really hard, because I know my opponent will be different. But I'm not the same guy I was in the first fight.”
Although Fury welcomed that. He wants to prove his mettle once and for all in this fight.
“I want it to be the best it's ever been. I hope I get the best version,” said the Briton.
“It's always around 13 in a playoff, I guess. I've had enough of them. Round 13 for sure. And I was coming on strong in the last round too. So it should have been a good round for me.”
'Fury means business'
Former world champion and Sky Sports an expert Johnny Nelson said: “Tyson Fury tells us 20 stone. I think he'll be close to that. I don't think he'll be 20 stone, I think he'll be a bit lower, about 19 to half a stone.
“If he weighs close to that 20 stone, which I was told a few months ago he was going to be heavy, it means business.
“And Tyson Fury is one of those freaky guys who can carry the weight and move like a middleweight.
“He doesn't have the legs he used to have. He's 36 years old, but the legs will work for him because he has to walk through them. Don't try to dance through them because when you carry 20 stone, you will be tired.
“Fury has to be smart, box offensively, use your weight, step, don't run. Let him dance, don't dance back. You have to be smart. Get in, make sure you control the distance. , because if the distance is taken away from him, as we saw in the last fight, Usik made him gas.
“Usyk is very good. In the last fight you saw Usyk slip under the arms of Tyson Fury, you saw him get out of the way and it was like trying to catch an eel for Tyson .
“He (Fury) has to push him to the point where he is about to take points away from him. He has to tell the referee: 'Stop pulling, stop using the elbow , stop hitting low.”
“He's got to get under Usyk's skin. He's got Usyk complaining. If he gets Usyk complaining, that's when you get inside your opponent's head.”
