The game kicks off at 10pm Cairo time, followed by the return leg on February 6.
This decision comes as part of an experiment aimed at enhancing transparency, as referees will announce the final decisions made after a VAR review via the stadium's public address system.
According to the statement released by the EFL, only the final decision will be announced, such as accidental handballs or offside decisions.
It should be noted that this test has been successfully implemented in several international events, including the 2023 Women's World Cup, and aims to provide a better understanding of stadium fans and viewers at home about important decisions.
