A Game cyberpunk 2077 the movie isn't in the works, but if anyone decides to make one, it can be easy to know that Idris Elba is already on board.
Video game movies and TV shows are all the rage these days, with adaptations coming out of Hollywood left, right and centre, and Cyberpunk 2077 is no stranger to that either with its anime spin-off Edgerunners . What it didn't get, however, was a live-action adaptation, something I don't think we need in any capacity, but of course we do. A TV show adaptation in the works so we get it anyway.. Currently, two of the game's stars, Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba, are looking forward to pushing for, ironically, another related thing to a video game in which they both participate, Sonic the hedgehog 3. Elba spoke with him recently Screen Rantwhere he was asked about the idea of making a live-action Cyberpunk movie specifically, and he felt very willing to accept.

“I think if any movie could do a live-action version, it could be (Cyberpunk 2077), and I think his character and my character together would be like, 'Whoa,'” Elba said. . “So, let's talk about that.” Of course the characters of Elba and Reeves are very different, since the performance of the former as Johnny Silverhand is largely limited to the vision of the character of player V, but I am sure that he could make it work at least.
Since the TV show was announced no details have been shared, so Elba may get his wish, the only difference is that it won't be on the big screen. We know it's set in the same world, but whether or not characters from the game are returning for the show is very much up in the air right now. At least we know Elba and Reeves would have the acting chops for it!
