You Shouldn't Wear This Bitcoin Shirt – Here's Why

Everyone has their own unique style, but if you're wearing Bitcoin merch like the shirt in the X post below in public – maybe you should stop.

I agree with this post because this shirt is cringe so fuck and will only bring unwanted attention.

Most people do not understand Bitcoin and the language that is close to it. If you're wearing this in public, most people aren't even going to notice it and move on with their day, completely forgetting about it. So if you have the shirt on, you're not really moving as hard as you think.

But some people who see you wearing it will know what it means, and this could lead to serious consequences.

Wearing a shirt that broadcasts to everyone that you have loads of bitcoin (or basically $100,000, at the time of writing, in the form of bearer funds) is likely to put a target on your back .

Don't believe me?

Last November, the CEO of the Canadian company WonderFi were abducted and held as ransom. And recently, there was a Pakistani crypto trader were abducted and had to pay the kidnappers $340,000 from his Binance account.

I'm not trying to scare anyone, but these things can happen, and you should at least not put yourself in such a situation.

These criminals may or may not know how Bitcoin works, and it's probably worse if they don't. Because they might think that you have it all on one exchange, or that your private keys are located in one easy-to-get place, so thinking that you might be an easy target ' in you. And if you tell them you physically can't give up your coins, and they don't believe you, things could get ugly quickly.

I'm not saying I'll never talk to anyone about Bitcoin or be 100% secretive about it – I mean, I'm a public person in this space and I've thought about how best to I will prevent the chances of something bad like this happening. For me. The security of your bitcoin is important, but so is your personal security. Lucky for me, I'm an American and I have second amendment rights. It's much easier to protect my Bitcoin from a possible $5 hacking attack with a firearm.

If you are the proud owner of one full bitcoin, it is good to celebrate, because that is a task that most people on the planet will not be able to achieve.

My advice to you, however, is to celebrate it in a way that is more private, like anyone other than your family and close friends that you trust. You can post online on X or Reddit anonymously about it if you really want to have a deeper conversation about it or to get the dopamine from everyone else congratulating you on the performance.

Don't tell people how much bitcoin you have, and definitely don't wear shirts that reveal it. Just stay humble and stack more bitcoins.
